Common Uses: Why Herbavita? It is the first most natural alternative hair-colouring gel to be free of harsh chemicals and ammonia. It incorporates proteins, botanicals and natural vegetal extracts, nutrients that give hair its deep, natural shine and vibrant, healthy colour. It provides nourishment, protection and conditioning to both the hair and scalp. It offers a safe, gentle and effective way of covering normal grey hair, with just 1 application. For long hair use the complete contents of the package. For short to medium hair, contents should allow for 2 applications. It lightens by one or two tones, without hurting the hair structure. It is available in 30 rich shades and is easy to use. It uses a natural herbal base with no ammonia which utilises the many beneficial properties obtained from the herbal extracts and proteins. You can also lighten your hair colour by approximately one shade using Herbatint.
Suggested Dosage: Herbatint is easy to use and gentle on your hair. Please read directions carefully before applying - Use only on dry hair. Using a plastic or a glass container only, combine equal amounts of herbatint herbal hair colour gel with the glycol developer (for medium to short hair: 30ml of Herbatint herbal hair colour gel with 30ml of glycol developer; for long hair: 60ml of Herbatint herbal hair colour gel with 60ml of Glycol developer). Make sure the mixture has been thoroughly blended before application. Put on the enclosed gloves. For non treated hair (not dyed or permed), Apply Herbatint colour mixture onto dry hair; make sure hair shaft, from root to end, is completely covered; Wait 40 minutes. For previously treated hair (dyed or permed), apply a portion of the herbatint mixture on dry roots of the hair first; wait 30 minutes; then apply the remaining mixture of herbatint onto the rest of the hair; Make sure the hair shaft, from root to end, is completely covered. Wait an additional 10 minutes. Total processing time is 40 minutes. Rinse out Herbatint mixture thoroughly with water until the rinse water is clear, then wash hair using a natural pH shampoo, such as herbatint Normalising shampoo. Apply a natural pH conditioner such as Royal cream. Wait 5 minutes and rinse again.

You can also lighten your hair colour by approximately one shade, using herbatint. Herbatint is able to cover white or grey hair gently and without causing damage to your hair, which enables the chosen colour to last much longer. The natural series colour from 1N to 8N give 100% coverage of grey hair. In order to achieve total grey coverage with the Ash, Golden, Copper and Mahogany series of colours, it is suggested you mix the chosen colour (40ml) with a natural N series of the same number (20ml). For example: Your hair is chestnut and your selected colour is Copper Chestnut. Mix 40ml of herbatint 4R (copper chestnut) with 20ml of herbatint 4N (Chestnut). Herbatint can be used even if a chemical dye has been used to colour your hair. If your hair has been dyed please bear in mind that your hair is more porous than usual, so select one shade lighter than usual for the best results. Herbatint cannot provide 100% colouring power for hennaed hair which has still henna present, as henna creates a coating around the hair.

Safety Information: Keep out of reach of Children. Caution: Glycol contains hydrogen peroxide. Herbatint contains diaminobenzene, resorcinol. Avoid contact with the eyes. This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritations on certain individuals and a preliminary patch test, should be made prior to each application. This product must not be used for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows. Should mixture come into contact with your eyes, rinse immediately with cool water. Rinse hair immediately after dying.
